⬅ Back to Wellness Services

Opioid agonist therapy (OAT) is the most effective treatment option for opioid use disorder, ideally combined with behavioural and social supports. Opioids are a class of drugs that are used to relieve pain. They come in prescription and non-prescription forms including: heroin, oxycodone (oxys, green beans), hydromorphone (dillies), fentanyl, Percocet (perc), morphine, and Tylenol with codeine (T4s and T3s).

The medications used in this program reduces cravings for opioids and prevents severe withdrawal symptoms.
