Dr Heather Ashdown (she/her) is a Psychiatrist of British and Scottish settler background based in Winnipeg. She primarily focuses on Perinatal and Addictions Mental Health. She is a mother of 2 who loves swimming, sewing, local music and working with community members to support anti-oppressive and harm reduction-oriented initiatives. She is proud to work among front-line organizations to support Supervised Consumption Services and Managed Alcohol Programs in Manitoba. She is honoured to work in collaboration with people in the Bunibonibee and Manto Sipi Cree Nations to support mental health in a holistic way that also supports resilience and self-determination in these communities.
